So farewell Lucinda: the only contestant on this year’s Apprentice who was able to combine aptitude and intelligence with interpersonal skills.
You were viciously bullied by the other female contestants, airily dismissed by the men, ridiculed for your “colourful” (i.e. not black and not from NEXT) outfits and mocked for being posh.
Even so, when you were finally allowed to show what you were made of, you left the rest of them in the dust.
It didn’t stop Sir Alan from firing you for being “too zany”. His selected finalists are enthusiastic-but-gormless Lee, shrewish Claire, mealy-mouthed Helene and the useless Alex. You were probably telling the truth when you said that you weren’t disappointed by his decision to let you go.
